It seems we’ve all gone baking mad…in a good way of course. We’re now in series 7 of The Great British Bake Off and the hit show is going from strength to strength.
This year there are 12 new amateur bakers stepping into the infamous bake off tent in the heart of the British countryside. The lovely and charming hosts Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins return, along with Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood. who have devised 30 new challenges to test the bakers’ knowledge, skill and creativity.
Week 1 of the show begins with cake, as the contestants take on a British classic. Mary Berry challenges them in the technical challenge with a popular little cake with a fatless sponge and chocolate. To finish, the bakers will be allowed to showcase to the judges in their showstopper challenge.
Who will win it this year? Let’s find out about our 12 new contestants.
